Quickspin Give Insight into January Loco the Monkey Release
December is almost over which means a new year is approaching, and to give us something to look forward to, Quickspin have teased on a new 2021 release – Loco the Monkey. In a press release, the software developer revealed they wanted to “create a warm and colourful game” for their January launch, “as this can be quite a cold and grey month for many of us.” Loco the Monkey combines a tropical forest theme with “known features inspired by a successful land-based slot (Miss Kitty Gold), as well as high volatility and a high max exposure.”
Loco is quite the character who found himself in a tricky situation! One day, when driving (yes, a monkey that drives!), down a narrow mountain, a huge bird came swooping in and grabbed all the bananas he was carrying in his car! That’s some nimble bird! Loco started to chase the feathered fiend until the car flew off the road and came to a stop down the mountainside and into a tropical forest. Now, with him being a monkey, you’d think he’d be able to swing his way back up the mountain to his home, but Quickspin have revealed he’s trapped with his bruises.
Crazy Antics
The tropical jungle is where he calls home until his confused and dizzy state subsides, and you’ll find him swinging around his 5×4 reel engine where 50 win lines and a plethora of bonus features hide. Free spins, re-spins and a chance to win 6,829x your bet also hide inside! Wil action sets in when four or more monkey symbols grace the reels – monkey symbols are wild, resulting in a re-spin taking effect. During the re-spin, the triggering wilds will remain locked in place while the remaining reel positions spin. Any subsequent wilds will be held in position and another re-spin takes place. This feature will continue until no new wilds are found or you have an entire reel engine packed with wild symbols.
A trio of scattered symbols will activate the free spins – also known as Monkey Frenzy, where 10 free games are initially awarded. During this feature, wilds are also held in place and will remain locked, only this time, the locked wild will carry a multiplier (up to 3x). Five additional spins are granted on the presence of three more scatters during your free games, making Loco the Monkey one generous little chimp!
