TonyBet is a much appreciated casino brand which is active in several European countries. In The Netherlands, the online casino received its license in november 2022 but since then it´s been very quiet around the launch of their Dutch website. We´ve been doing some research to find out what the status around the TonyBet launch is.

TonyBets sign of life

In The Netherlands, the KVA (Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates), internationally known as the QMRA (Quality Mark Responsible Affiliates), is an organization that operates as a quality mark for IGaming affiliates. The organization lobbies with the government and collects age data of its members to guarantee their compliance with the age regulations in The Netherlands.

IGaming affiliates in the Netherlands can only operate legally when a maximum of 5% of their website´s visitors are under 24 years old. All members of the KVA comply with this rule, which the KVA monitors on a monthly basis.

Online casinos can also become KVA members, and so was the case for TonyBet in the spring of this year. TonyBet received its seal of approval from the KVA, which is a reassurance that the online casino is planning to go live anytime soon. This is a clear sign of life and a relief for the Dutch TonyBet fans.

What to expect of TonyBet?

In a TonyBet preview we´ve found online, you can read more about what to expect from TonyBet in the Netherlands. When the time comes, the online casino is expected to go live with a sportsbook and online casino from day one.

According to Mybookmakers.nl, Dutch punters are probably primarily interested in TonyBet´s launch because of its high casino welcome bonuses and sports welcome bonuses abroad. Since getting a permit is very difficult for new online casinos in the Netherlands, the number of welcome bonuses that can be claimed is very limited for Dutch players.

When it comes to the exact launch date, TonyBet stays very quiet, resulting in different theories. Some sports websites see it as a marketing strategy to create hype around the brand, while others point to technical problems with the site, making it impossible to go live. TonyBet itself does not give a clear answer on the exact day they will launch in the Netherlands, so up until then, we can unfortunately only wait and see.
